Bushes to officially live in Preston Hollow in Dallas

For any of you presidential stalkers out there, the White House officially announced today that W. and Laura Bush have purchased a home in Preston Hollow. The DMN has also helpfully noted that the president's official accountant purchased 10141 Daria Place as a trustee back on October 3, so one can reasonably assume that that is their new address.

I don't know what I was expecting, but this street seems a little too crowded and unassuming for the Bushes. The big house is probably theirs, but the other houses are nowhere near as ostentatious as I would've thought. Heck, look -- there's even a kid's soccer goal in one of the front lawns! Aw, shucks, guess the Bushes are just normal folks like you and me.

Well the brush is cleared and several small minority children have been indentured and installed in the servant's quarters. I believe they were Alberto's, but they certainly could've come from one of Condo's trysts with Rummy.

As far as the library goes, the Zane Grey and Larry McMurtry boxed sets will be ready for checkout any day now.

My opinion, it will be somewhere else, not on Daria Place. My guess, and since this is public, (you know the S.S.) it will be in Highland Park, just off Beverly Drive, that is my opinion only.

Yeah, I wouldn't think the S.S. likes an unimpeded view/access right up to the house like that. You also have to figure that the nutmegs are gonna come out of the woodwork once they do settle in.

We took a tour of the LUXE showhome at The Creeks of Preston Hollow. http://www.artandseek.org/event.php?i... We were told, in a low whisper, that the only draw back to whoever decided to own the home in the future would be the next door neighbors who are moving from a very prestigious address in Washington, D.C. after 8 years. Gated community, 6 to 8 homes, Min. $5M price range. This would make more sense than just some ordinary home on an open street.

I was a little surprised they didn't buy one of those fancy new homes with the elevators and all the other bells and whistles.

I hope he does move to Preston Hollow instead of Highland Park. I sure don't want to see him shopping at my Whole Foods off Lemmon Ave. I might slam my shopping cart accidentally into his and of course get tasered by some muscle head in a suit :-)
