Driver dies after hitting pole on McKinney Avenue in Uptown Dallas
DALLAS Stephen Satterwhite, 39, of Dallas died after hitting a pole on McKinney Avenue in Dallas' Uptown district at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.
The pole he hit holds electrical lines for the McKinney Avenue trolley. The story says he was near Sneed Street and that he lost control while "navigating a curve". That's right there by the Starbucks at Allen Street. Not much of a curve, really.

Unless he was speeding. With the brick pavement & Trolley tracks, the road can be rather slick there. If he was speeding, he could very easily have lost control of his car.
