Method Entertainment hosts up-and-coming local bands at Lola’s Thursday

It has been over a month since Method Entertainment has put together a live shin dig for ya. So, we thought we would give you 2 shows in one week. Just think of it as our Christmas present to you. Here are the details!

This Thursday Method Entertainment brings local Dallas and Denton bands to Lola's in Ft. Worth. This will be the first time that Method has put together an event at this super indie venue since its opening. Trust us when we say, "You will not find a better lineup anywhere else on a Thursday night!". Check it out!

12:00 AM - Bridges and Blinking Lights has been one of our favorite bands since their release of "Standing on the Same Stick" in 2007. It seems we are not the only ones who agree, The Dallas Observer nominated them for "Best Indie Act" this year. As well as several write ups in The Guide Live, Quick, Pegasus News and local indie blogs. This Denton Quartet has Intimately untethered vocals, silvery guitars, and an unyielding rhythm section that has fueled a steady stream of live performances that quickly fleshed out a few simple melodies into a heady cocktail of soulful southern twang and quirky indie-pop sensibility. We are certain you can relate to their sound.

11:00 - Sunward is one band that you have to see live to truly take you through a musical journey. The first time we had the opportunity to see this band, we were completely blown away with their musicianship, sound and the ability to take you on a visual, psychedelic journey into the unknown. This 4 piece band Merges melodic song craft with psychedelically infused sounds. Their music moves in a refreshing direction somewhere between indie-pop and space rock. While their compositions are steeped in lush, heady audioscapes painted by atmospheric violin, guitar and synthesizers, while keeping their melodies in the fore front of their music. If you have yet to see this band live. Then, make the effort to see them this Thursday.

10:00 - Young and Brave is an up and coming Indie/Pop band that hails from Denton and Dallas. This five-piece band has only been together for several months and has been gaining recognition amongst local musicians in Denton and Dallas. Their delicate and rootsy mix of classic rock guitars and unusual keyboards have given them their signature sound. With their influences ranging from Beatles (Post Rubber Soul), Fiona Apple, Spoon and Wilco. It will only be a matter of time before they come up into the ranks of known bands in the scene.
