Heath City Council meets to annex as much land as they think they can get away with
When the Heath City Council meeting is called to order on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, the first order of business will be public input regarding the city's proposed annexation of 185.58 acres of land along Rabbit Ridge Rd. (From Jeff Boyd to McDonald).
Following, there will be a catch-all consent agenda featuring the following items:
* approval of a plat for the Lewis Estates Addition
* grant of a variance to permit the installation and operation of an onsite sewer facility in relation to a barn/servants quarters at 324 Myers Rd.
* approval of a resolution supporting energy efficiency goals previously set forth as applied to city facilities
* approval of a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a professional services agreement with Cheatham & Assoc. to work up waterline improvements in support of the extension of water service to various properties
* approval of a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute development agreements with various tract land owners.
Individual consideration items include:
* discussion/action on whether to authorize the City Mgr. to implement group health & dental insurance and medical flexible spending accounts
* conversation about the sewer policy
* mulling over of the land use application system requirements
* discourse on code enforcement procedures and penalties for performing work without appropriate permits and registrations
* consideration of the issues associated with the designation of the city's newspaper of record
* talk in regard to the lease agreement for meeting facilities in the Future Village Green Development
