McKinney Airport Development Corporation chairman Vic Lattimore resigns

Citing personal reasons.

— The McKinney Airport Development Corporation (MADC) chairman of the board Victor "Vic" Lattimore submitted his resignation yesterday effective immediately, citing personal reasons. Lattimore currently serves as President of Lattimore Properties of McKinney and is a resident of Plano. He was appointed to the board of directors in October 2007 along with six other business leaders from Collin County and McKinney and was elected chairman in January of this year.

"Vic will be greatly missed. He is an advocate for Collin County Regional Airport and strong believer in consensus building," said Collin County Regional Airport (CCRA) Director and MADC Executive Director Ken Wiegand.

During Lattimore's tenure, the MADC completed $2.6 million in improvements to CCRA that included the construction of Taxilane-G, extension of the airport perimeter road to enhance airport safety, installation of a high-tech perimeter access control platform, an expanded fuel farm secondary containment area that increases the airport's fuel storage capacity from 87,000 to 237,000 gallons and the installation of utilities to the airport's southwest quadrant that will support the development of aeronautical facilities on more than 25 acres of airport land. His leadership was instrumental in developing an effective security strategic plan designed to address perimeter access control and future security enhances.

Lattimore was also responsible for directing MADC's efforts to formulate a Corporate Strategic Plan that will ensure the future growth of airport. That plan is currently being coordinated internally and will soon become the Corporation's primary guiding document.
