Money woes may close down Duncanville’s Cherry Pit

I’m not one to take pleasure in the suffering of others, but you have to love the irony involved here. The Dallas Morning News reports the owner of the residence that houses the notorious swingers’ club is some six months late on his $163,000 mortgage.
And yes, these are tough financial times for everyone. But this is the same house that took in an estimated $102,000 in a 16-month span according to the authorities. Sounds like somebody put the drink cart before the horse. For most of us, our home is the biggest investment we ever make. But for Jim Trulock and Julie Norris, the Cherry Pit was a thriving business.
As if the evidence taken in by police didn’t prove the place was a business, Trulock has placed a message on The Cherry Pit site asking for “investors.” I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest Trulock’s attorney didn’t come up with that plan of action. If your defense relies on convincing people you don’t profit from these parties, using terms like “investment” and “return” shoots giant holes in your case.
But then there’s never been any evidence the City of Duncanville was dealing with brilliant minds in this controversy. It’s more proof that the criminal mastermind is usually the stuff of TV fiction. Not unlike the concept of “a gorgeous group of swingers.”
The Cherry Pit Yahoo group brags about chances to earn “Fun Money.” Even the Internet prostitutes on Craigslist have enough sense to use better euphemisms than that. That blatant advertising of illegal activity is tantamount to a crack dealer listing his dimebags on eBay. Perhaps it’s poetic justice that a home garnering such an extraordinary amount of attention will likely meet the most ordinary of economic ends.

I doubt they're going to tear down a house in suburbia.
Then again, I wonder whether its sordid history will be advertised to future owners...

The fact that they messaged me asking if I am an attorney simply b/c of how I sounded in my comments related to their little shindig...does not bode well. I doubt they have retained anyone, but that may explain the money woes if they're bleeding legal fees.
In the end, don't care. Whole thing is incredibly shady and they're fools for thinking people wouldn't react this way. I never heard back on my response inquiring how much they could afford as a retainer, either. =p

Jeremy!!!
In this economy one might think more ugly entrepreneurs would jump into the "Cherry Pit" concept. Make money from home, meet other like-minded ugly people, turn your home into corporate HQ..what else could you ask for?
