David McDavid wins lawsuit over Turner Broadcasting System
Daaavid McDaaavid won his lawsuit against Turner Broadcasting System Tuesday, with a jury deciding that TBS breached its contract with McDavid in 2003 when he tried to buy the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, NHL's Atlanta Thrashers, and operating rights to Philips Arena, where both teams play. McDavid was awarded $316 million, although TBS is likely to appeal the ruling.
So let me get this straight -- he didn't get to pay them hundreds of millions of dollars to buy some crappy teams and now they have to pay him hundreds of millions of dollars because of it? What a country!
