Company buys (back) Bush Pres Library website for $35,000
Yuma Solutions, a company contracted to develop the George W. Bush Presidential Library website, made a costly and embarrassing mistake recently. They let the domain name, www.GeorgeWBushLibrary.com, expire and a company in North Carolina, Illuminati Karate, bought it for $10. After the media exposed that the name had been lost, Yuma scrambled to buy it back at the slightly inflated cost of $35,000. The sum is to be paid by Yuma, not the library.
All enterprisers out there keep an eye on 2013, when the current license for the domain name is set to expire.
