Dallas homeless man badly burned in parking garage fire
When Dallas Fire-Rescue got to the location of a reported downtown blaze late Thursday (Dec. 11) they found that a 63-year-old homeless man had been severely burned by the fire which he apparently started.
The man (whose name has not been released) was sheltering in a parking garage at 1309 Main and had lit candles amongst the newspapers and clothing surrounding him for warmth. One of the candles must have tipped over and set the papers - and the man's clothing - on fire.
He was transported to Parkland.
