With Joe Friday on the case, we'll soon find out what really happened

Corporal Randy Joe Alexander, 44 - a 22-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department - was arrested late Thursday (Dec. 11) on charges of assault and drug possession.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in his East Dallas home during which he allegedly pulled the hair of a woman and threatened to shoot her. Officers arriving at the scene found a small amount of cocaine (less than a gram, it says here). So Alexander remains on administrative leave while the internal investigators take a look at the whole thing.

Wow - They seriously need to raise their hiring standards at DPD. It's as if they take anyone who applies.

Since the referenced article's headline refers to "domestic violence," Pavel, I'm betting it's a live-in partner type person.

Either his girlfriend or his drug dealer.

I guess 22 years on that job could really mess up your head.

The cocaine charge was an administrative error. Do a little research. http://www.myfoxdfw.com/myfox/MyFox/p...

A followup report by fox4 news stating that the cocaine possession was not part of the actual charges, and in fact belonged to someone else booked on the same night.

It is easy to sit back and write what you think you know. There are real people involved here. I am not defending him, but don't you think the "woman" and any other family deserve to at least have the facts be straight?

Yep, sure do! That really has to bite to have that type of information sent out into the universe. That “woman”, they say, is his wife.

Good to know the po-po don't do drugs, just slap their wives around a little. I'm sure relieved!
