Fort Worth city council struggles to complete new gas drilling ordinance details
The sticking point in regard to the Fort Worth City Council's adoption of the gas drilling ordinance currently on their agenda (and scheduled for a Jan. 1 "take effect" date) involves the setback distance from pad sites with multiple wells. Gas group officials are pushing for a 525 ft. setback, while neighborhood groups are aiming to have 600 ft. written into the statute.
Council members plan to decide the issue at this evening's session, following a workshop on the topic.
