UPDATED: Keller “Extreme” home completed, unveiled
not provided by anyone with anything to do with the event
As previously reported, the latest family to benefit from the services of the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" folks are Amber and Peter Augustin and their three kids.
On Friday afternoon (Dec. 15), while temperatures plummeted, a group of well-wishers stood by at the homesite off Keller-Hicks Road as the unveiling of the completed home occurred, with the typical TV flourish. As mentioned in the linked article, the family members were facing away from the crowd (toward the actual house), so "their first reaction wasn't visible." More's the pity.
The home's construction was completed in roughly 106 hours of frenzied work by Arlington's Wall Homes (and the Extreme Makeover crew).
UPDATE: NBC DFW Around Town guy Greg Janda suggested we link to his story, which includes images of the actual house taken by a viewer present at the event. Much as I like the fake picture, these are actually more cogent.
Thanks for the tip, Greg.

Collin Gouldin, says:
"We can't have anyone in the house until the show airs, so we're going to have a quite Christmas by ourselves."
if it's anything like food network's Diner Drive-ins and Dives, it's going to be an empty house for awhile.
