Ice expected to make Tuesday morning commute in Dallas-Fort Worth difficult
The commute in Dallas-Fort Worth was dicey on Monday night with traffic jams clogging highways all over Dallas-Fort Worth. On northbound Interstate 35 in downtown Dallas, a truck flipped on its side, blocking a lane of traffic. At 10 p.m., a 14-vehicle accident was said to have occurred on southbound US 75 at Walnut Hill. At around the same time, Dallas police shut down parts of eastbound LBJ and northbound 75 due to ice.
Tuesday morning's commute isn't expected to be much better, as a winter weather advisory will remain in effect through 11 a.m., whereupon the ice should begin to melt.
