The Fort Worth ISD Board of Education voted Tuesday to extend the contract of Superintendent Melody Johnson by one year. In a separate vote, they also gave her a raise of $4,500, meaning her base salary of $328,950 is now the highest for superintendents in the state.
You know, not to come off as bitter here, but sometimes I think these school districts give raises just because that's what's always been done. You're telling me she couldn't have lived with the same salary for another year? Yep, I'm not bitter at all.

Superintendents don't even deal with people's brats, they just oversee the poor saps who actually have to put up with the little chumps.
If I had anything to do with Fort Worthless, I'd be outraged. Hell, I'm frugal enough to be slightly outraged from Dallas!

Well, the sad part, other than Doyle calling himself frugal, is that the teachers- the ones that do deal with everyone's brats are having a tough time making ends meet- at home and in the classroom.

Each teacher deserves a $4500 raise for dealing with the kids every day.

I'm not sure why that's sad, Yost. You sayin' it's an understatement? Apparently my term defining the true context of such frugality isn't PC for PN.
