Fort Worth day care reportedly spanked children during potty training

7

Miss Endy's Playhouse and Christian Day School in Fort Worth faces forced closure after a 2005 investigation found that the school would spank children in the course of potty training. Children who wet themselves were also forced to remain in their soiled clothing for several hours. While the school maintains that spanking is defended by, of all things, the Bible, state law forbids it.

Despite the law, a number of parents are writing in support of the school, thankful for a break from having to spank their neglectful little potty-trainees themselves.

The school remains open until a judge can hear the case next week.

Wait, wait -- during potty training? Wouldn't that be a bit, um, messy?

Alex: considering they let the kids stew in their own, uh, byproducts, it seems that they're not overly worried about it.

Hopefully these comments dont come off sounding bigoted, so here it goes:

This daycare probably has a tie to COGIC (Church of God In Christ), which is a HUGE chruch in the afro-american community. COGIC and their mindset are notorious for believing in whipping kids for even the most minor things, like wetting their pants or spilling pop on the carpet.

While im for discplining kids for doing something dumb, I would'nt even go this far by popping a kid for missing the potty or soiling their drawers, thats just something that happends.

Apologies if anyone got offended...

Alex, I consider anything pertaining to the learning process surrounding going number one and number... oh forget it. Yes, during potty training.
