Grand Prairie police seek assistance in EZ mart robberies

Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who robbed two EZ Marts in Grand Prairie.

The first robbery occurred Dec. 13 at about 1:30 a.m. at 1555 W. North Carrier. The suspect is described as a black man, 40-50 years of age, 5-6 to 5-9 tall, weighing about 160-190 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses and a black knit cap, camouflage shirt and black pants.

The second robbery happened the same day at about 11:55p.m. at 3290 S. Great Southwest Pkwy. The suspect is described as a black man, 30-37 years of age, 5-8 to 5-10 tall, 170-180 pounds, wearing sunglasses, a light brown ball cap, dark coat and pants.

Police believe that the suspect will be the same in both robberies. He was armed with a handgun in each robbery.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect is asked to call Grand Prairie Police Detective Joe Wood at 972-237-8778 or Crime Stoppers at 972-988-8477.

So we're looking for a single suspect that is 30-37 and 40-50 years old? :)
