UPDATEDx3: Thursday fog cuts visibility to disastrously dinky quarter-mile or less…
Thick fog has cut visibility to a quarter-mile or less throughout most of DFW. The haze blew in late Wednesday following the ARCTIC BLAST delivered on Sunday and Monday. As a result, DFW airport is experiencing "airborne" delays of around 15 minutes. Drivers on the various tollways, however, have noted that they can still see their hands when they extend their arms and will continue to drive 115 miles per hour.
The fog isn't expected to lessen until at least noon.
UPDATE: 2 p.m.: Noon has passed. We are still experiencing fog. No signs of lifting anytime soon. Shall report back later.
UPDATEx2: 3:36 p.m.: The fog persists and increases in intensity. Being a first born, I grow more worried as the minutes pass.
UPDATEx3: 11:15 p.m.: Oh, God. It's happened. Now I cannot see even an inch in front of me. The fog has so totally consumed... nope, wait, just night out. Still pretty foggy, though.

Last night's fog was pretty awesome. Driving down 75, you would occasionally just see a magical glowing brick in the sky, due to all the lights on lower floors of a building being off.

Amazes me how Dallas drivers invariably slow down when approaching a hill - presumably b/c they can't see the other side. Rest assured, friends...there actually IS more road on the other side!
Fog is understandable. Hills? Really?
