Casey Thomas, outgoing president of the Dallas Branch NAACP, is planning a run for the Dallas City Council this Spring. He looks to replace incumbent Dave Neumann in Council District 3.

In a message to friends and family, Thomas says “In my years of serving the Dallas Community and speaking with many of you, I feel our community needs new, energized leadership to promote District 3 in the Dallas City Council.” He goes on to say that he feels he can help “make District 3 whole.”

As a resident of District 3, I am excited about the prospect of Casey Thomas becoming our next representative on the council. The next person that I speak with who has a good opinion of our current representative will be the first.

Casey has filed Darryl Washington as his campaign treasurer.
