Call for entries: FWCanDo is looking for urban drilling inspired art

FWCanDo invites artists to submit entries in all media to the second annual Buzzworms in the Backyard, an exhibition of protest art focusing on the impact of urban gas drilling on people, property and the environment. Artists may enter up to three works at a fee of $10/entry, or three for $25. Pre-registration deadline is December 29. Art will be juried from the actual work with $500 in prizes to be awarded at a reception January 9. Jurors for the exhibit are acclaimed artists Linda and Ed Blackburn. The exhibit runs January 9 - 30, 2009 at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy Street.
