Dallas International Street Church hopes to reopen next week
After experiencing an interruption of service to our broken people due to code violations from the Dallas Fire Department, Pastor Karen Dudley reported Monday morning that the Dallas International Street Church is making tremendous progress towards reopening. The donated fire alarm system installation was to be completed on Monday. The electrical system and doors are being addressed and repairs are being made.
They are praying for additional finances and volunteer labor to keep moving forward with additional upgrades. They are due for an inspection from the Fire Marshall Tuesday the 23rd and hope for "Green Tag" so they can get back to the business at hand - that of taking care of our people!
They have a Kids Party scheduled for Christmas Eve and need the "Green Tag" approval from the Fire Department to hold the party.
Prior to closing, Dallas International Street Church was a 24-hour refuge for the homeless offering a hot meal, clothing, a place to lay their head.
