Brief storms, then cooler weather heading into North Texas for the remainder of the weekend

Folks waking up late on this Saturday morning (Dec. 27) between Christmas and New Years may be greeted with the sound of thunder, as a line of strong storms rumbles through the North Texas area, bringing a chance of hail and even isolated tornadic activity.

By noon, however, the stormy weather should be well past the area, leaving cooler temperatures (in the 50's by 5 p.m.) and with the wind whipping around to the west.

Low tonight: 33, or thereabouts.

About 15 minutes of desultory rain and it's over and done with (from my vantage point in Old Lake Highlands). Big effing deal.

I'm betting the accumulated moisture in my backyard rain gauge won't prove sufficient to immerse a fingernail. (Though it will be about the right amount to leaven the tumbler of Irish whiskey I have lined up for this evening's holiday imbibement...)

Sun came out over here by Love Feild again and the wind is still blowing quite heavy, while the humidity has changed and I am able to get some sculpture work done out side...A/T...Sunny dayzzs for the moment.
