City of Dallas looking at creating task force on animal cruelty
DALLAS Bravo to the city of Dallas for looking into creating a task force focused on animal cruelty. The initiative is stoked by the attention in recent months on dog-fighting rings such as the one in which former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was involved. They're now a felony in Texas as of September 2007; authorities busted one of the biggest dogfighting rings in the country near Houston in November.
