Heath City Council meets one last time in 2008 to hear department and committee reports

When the City Council of Heath convenes at City Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 30 (at 7:30 p.m.), they'll close out 2008 by hearing from the various committees and departments that make Heath what it is today, and what it will be in the future.

Almost time for the cold duck!

Almost time for the cold duck!

The committees and departments that will hold forth during this session include:

* Planning and Zoning (including a report on zoning requests, conditional use permits, proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and the Capital Improvements Plan

* Board of Adjustment

* Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board

* Economic Development Corporation

* Park Board (including a record of votes taken, revisions to the Park Site Plan, a status report on park construction and special events/activities)

* Special Events Board

* Dept. of Public Safety (including a rundown on the number of calls for service, special events/activities, staffing/training/personnel matters, major equipment purchases/repairs, commendations, complaints and animal control)

* Building Inspections/Public Works (including a breakdown of the number of permits issued last month, year-to-date and year-to-date from one year ago; valuation of permits issued; current water and sewer projects; major disruptions of water/sewer service; street repairs and/or street construction; major equipment acquisition and repairs; and staff changes)

* Municipal Court (including new cases, revenue collected, final dispositions, number of bench trials and warrants issued)

* City Staff (including reports on website, status of interlocal agreements and leases, personnel changes and special projects/activities)

If they'd only planned the meeting a day later, they could have ended the session by popping the cork on a frosty Cold Duck.
