Infirm evangelist Billy Graham leaves Dallas flock for South Carolina church
Though his travels meant little time spent in Dallas, Rev. Billy Graham has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas since 1953, joining during his first "crusade" through the city. Graham, now in poor health, has chosen to join the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, near his home in South Carolina. His assistant sent a letter explaining the situation to Dallas pastor Robert Jeffress.
