Arcodoro/Pomodoro moving into former Bice space at Crescent Court in Dallas
DALLAS — Arcodoro/Pomodoro, the Italian restaurant that's been on Routh Street since 2000, will move into the space recently vacated by the recently departed Bice, confirmed an employee.
"We're doing great over here, but the owner is excited about the opportunity to move into the Crescent," said the above-mentioned employee.
The move is scheduled to take place within the next three months. Arcodoro/Pomodoro is owned by the Farris family, who will reportedly install another restaurant in the space that currently holds Arcodoro/Pomodoro, and who apparently are unfazed by the fact that the Bice space has seen a number of restaurant tenants come and go over the years.

Someone must have been doing shots with Mariel Hemingway, whose restaurant 'Sam's' initiated that hot spot esquina. She's now a guest on info-mercials for Cindy Crawford's skin care. (Being a guest on an info-mercial is like singling backup to a Tara Reid lookalike doing karioke in a suburban Hyatt Hotel.)

That corner of hell in the Crescent is truly cursed. The fact remains that the owner is Efisio, and Francesco is the Executive Chef-he is an employee, NOT an owner! Efisio lives in Houston, and his attention is, has been, and always will be, primarily focused on Arcodoro in Houston. Yes, I am a former employee. Three years ago we thought that Efisio was going to pull the plug on A&P. There is no way in Hell that ANY restaurant is going to overcome the curse of that location, certainly not one with Francesco Ferris at the helm.
Over-under on life expectancy in the new location: One year.
