— Dallas restaurateur Anna Lombardi Daigle will open a new location of her family’s Penne Pomodoro restaurant in the Lakewood Shopping Center in the former Kitchen 1924 space.

Lombardi Daigle opened her first outpost of Penne Pomodoro at Preston & Forest in 2004 and plans to complete the new location in late February. Her father, legendary restaurateur Alberto Lombardi, opened the first Penne Pomodoro in Snider Plaza in 2003.

"Lakewood is such a family oriented neighborhood that I felt it would make an ideal location for Penne Pomodoro and because I live in Lakewood, I wanted to be part of its business community as well," said Anna Lombardi Daigle.

Wow! Yet another Italian restaurant for Lakewood, now that's offering something different and unique for the area, hey! all we need now is another Mexian restaurant to go along with three others.

I work next to the one in Snider Plaza and it is very good. I think it will be a great addition to the Lakewood neighborhood. They also have a nice brunch Saturday and Sunday.
