Four shot, one killed, in shooting at North Dallas smoke shop

One employee was shot in the arm and in the stomach. The young woman who died was only 18 years old. What a horrible shame. BTW, some of the news people were a bit much to deal with. The old bag from KRLD was walking around with here recording device begging for comments and the guy from Associated Press was a total ahole. When the owner of the Gas Pipe said "no comment", he decided to keep standing there as obtrusive as he could be..saying "ok, I will just keep standing here then.."

It would have at least made some sense if it were a robbery, but instead, just some jackasses shooting innocent people for no reason other than a gang initiation, or maybe retarded AND on crack.

This incident was the first time in the forty years of Gas Pipe history that someone has been shot in one of their stores. Several stores have been robbed at gunpoint, but nothing like this has ever happened.

CrimeStoppers is offering a $5000 reward that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible. The number to call Crimestoppers is 214-373-TIPS.

I hope they catch these worthless bags of flesh and give them all the death penalty.

The channel 5 new reporter knew very early on how many people were shot and told people at the scene. I'm not sure why WFAA and Fox 4 couldn't get it right online or on the air. Fox actually reported that one of the victims had drove herself from the scene with an arm wound.

So was this a robbery? Going in shooting without a word- then escaping on foot without taking anything. Sounds like they were only out to shoot someone. Gang initiation maybe?

Looks like DPD has done a good job here identifying the suspect. His name is Arsenio Desmond Petty. The Gas Pipe and Crime Stoppers have offered a combined reward of $10,000 for information leading to his arrest. I'm still not sure how DPD came to the conclusion that is was a botched robbery based on the video footage alone, but it is good to see there is progress on the case. One hopes that someone needs that money more than they feel compelled to hide a murderer.

Closure seems to be such a cheesy term, but for those who work at that location, I think it will really help getting them back to normalcy. Let's hope it happens soon.
