Local businessman and entrepreneur Albert C. Black Jr. will be the featured speaker at the University of North Texas' Distinguished Lecture Series (sponsored by the College of Business Administration) on Friday, Feb. 22.

The talk will be held at 10 a.m. in the Golden Eagle Suite of the University Union, one block west of Welch and West Prairie Streets.

Mr. Black started up On-Target Supplies & Logistics Ltd. on a shoestring in 1982; he ran the one-truck operation with one other person in the early days of the business. Now, the company makes the Dallas Business Journal's list of the 100 fastest-growing private companies in D/FW. They even have mission and values statements. (Uh oh.)

Black - a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas (bachelor's) and Southern Methodist University (MBA) - spent his childhood in South Dallas. His wife, Gwyneith, serves as director of OTSL Charities, the philanthropic arm of the company.

For more information about the lecture, contact Julie Willems-Espinoza at the College of Business Administration at 940-369-8442, or email her at willemsj@unt.edu.
