The bandits have brains and are considered dangerous

— Comerica Bank today announced it is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the so-called "Scarecrow Bandits," who are armed bank robbers suspected in at least 18 area bank robberies since July 2007.

Most recently, the Scarecrow Bandits struck the Comerica banking center located on Hampton Road in DeSoto.

The Comerica reward is on top of a $25,000 reward previously announced by the Dallas FBI.

Anyone with information should call the Dallas FBI office at 972-559-5000 or local police.
