MCKINNEY The McKinney ISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year will receive the use of a new car for one month free from the El Dorado Family of Dealerships. The teachers will receive the vehicles during a special presentation on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. at the dealership located at 2300 N. Central Expressway in McKinney.
The McKinney ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, Geneva Gimber, will receive a four-door, Jeep Wrangler convertible and the district's Secondary Teacher of the Year, Steve Garms, will drive away in a new Chrysler 300C.
El Dorado Family of Dealerships, which sells Chevrolet, Chrysler, Mazda and Jeeps, will provide the vehicles free of charge for the teachers for one month plus a full tank of gas. This is the second year for the dealership to provide free cars to the district's teachers of the year.
