Benefit tournament to be held for Duncanville Police Sergeant Robert Brooks
Planning has begun for the charity golf event benefiting Duncanville Police Sergeant Robert Brooks and his family.
This event is scheduled to begin by "shotgun start" at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The event will be held at the Country View Golf Club, 240 West Beltline Road, Lancaster, Texas.
The proceeds from this event will benefit Robert Brooks and his family. Robert is currently engaged in a cancer battle that is physically and financially draining. He has had two separate surgeries to remove tumors from his brain. Currently Robert has cancer on his pituitary gland located at the base of the brain, which is inoperable.
Sgt. Brooks is a graduate of the Duncanville High School and has been a Police Officer with the Duncanville Police Department since 1995. Robert has received numerous awards and commendations during his employment with Duncanville Police Department. Robert has been assigned to the patrol, tactical and internal affairs divisions. He is a husband, father, mentor and close friend to many in the Duncanville community.
You can choose to be a partner in this event by contributing as a player, a title or hole sponsor. Additional donations or door prize contributions will also be accepted.

This year's event will be held Thursday, April 10th at the well-manicured Country View Golf Course in Lancaster, Texas.
Registration begins at 7:30 am, with tee-off at 8:30 am.
The cost for this event is only $50. This price includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch, and various awards.
There will be an awards presentation directly after golf at the golf course clubhouse.
Golf attire is required. Collared shirts and slacks. No steel spikes are allowed on the course. All participants must be at least 16 years of age.
