FLOWER MOUND Don't mess with Flower Mound.
That's what two brothers learned on Saturday morning after holding up the Bank of America inside Albertson's on Flower Mound Road at FM 2499.
With the help of some quick thinking bystanders, Flower Mound police caught both of the suspects in short order and recovered two 9mm handguns.
The first suspect, Trevor Burns, 22, was nabbed in the Albertsons parking lot by a police officer with help from a Good Samaritan who witnessed the robbery.
17-year-old James Burns fled the parking lot in a white Volkswagen Jetta as his brother was being arrested. Another bystander chased him in his personal vehicle for a few blocks until Burns crashed in the 2500 block of Magnolia Leaf Lane, where he was held until officers arrived.
Trevor was armed with a 9mm handgun, and a second 9mm was recovered from inside the suspects' vehicle. The pair were booked into the Flower Mound Jail and are awaiting arraignment. No one was injured during the ordeal.
