Got the following missive from Maren Morris:
This email is being sent out to all my friends, family and fans.
I am raising money to meet the costs of the production of my very first music video!!! Yes, we are going to make a video to my #5 Texas Hit Single, "Dangerous" to send to CMT, GAC, Vh1 and for promotional purposes.
I have been so fortunate to team with a wonderful production company in Dallas called Planet Productions. They have agreed to donate their pre production, production, direction, video shoot and editing services to me and my video project GRATIS! They know this is a great project and have much faith in my talents and future success. You can check them out at www.planetproductions.com
We have been in negotiations with Glacau, the company that produces Vitamin Water, Smart Water, Vitamin Energy and Fruit Water to help back my video. We have not secured any monies from them at this point, but are still in negotiations on how they can partner with us on the video. Keep your fingers crossed! They are currently a sponsor of my music and have delivered large amounts of product to me and to my shows! You can check them out at www.glaceau.com
Check out all the products, because they simply rock!
So there will be expenses that Maren is responsible for coming up with the money for. Some of these expenses are to pay for rentals on certain equiptment necessary (ie; HD camera, jib, dolly, etc), and for things such as feeding the 10 person crew breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, location fees and permits, hiring a gaffer and hiring hair and make up artists. I know what you're thinking....Maren's mom is a hairdresser, but we need people with experience in film and video makeup. We need money for all these things and for scenic stuff too (ie; props and such).
Below is the email Mr. Brothers from Planet Production sent me this morning and attached is the proposed amount we must raise for out of pocket costs. Please open the attachment and read it.
If you can, and would like to help us out and donate money or if you have any ideas or suggestions that could be helpful, please let us know. We are trying to raise this money in the next 30 days. Any amount will be helpful.

Thanks so very much for being apart of my life and music. This ride has been so fun and I look forward to a long and continuous one!!!!

According to the proposal that was attached it looks like about $8k for production equipment and crew (mostly comped, except for gaffer, driver and hair/makeup. Not included in that bid is feeding everyone for the two day shoot.

So far they have raised about $2010. Still pretty far from the $7800 needed to shoot the video.
