Couple from Fort Worth accused of illegally selling to Iran (for past 16 years)
Two Fort Worth residents, 77-year-old Brian Woodford and his 63-year-old wife Laura, have been accused of making millions in profits through illegal sales with Iran for the past 16 years.
It is believed the couple funneled commercial and military aircraft parts through a Fort Worth company, then to Monarch Aviation in Signapore, and so on until they reached Iran. Such transactions were not approved by the U.S. government, which has restricted trade with Iran due to its believed support of international terrorism.
Mrs. Woodford has been in federal custody for the last month, while her husband is still at large.
