Kitchen Dog Theater is back! The Dallas theater company known for its avant-garde work is continuing their season with the opening of Trestle at Pope Lick Creek which will run from February 15 - March 15.
Written by Naomi Wallace, the play is set in 1936, somewhere in the US. Two passionate teenagers become locked in a dare to 'run the tracks' - a deadly game to outrun the trains that thunder over the trestle bridge at Pope Lick Creek. Dalton Chance and Pace Creagan gamble their dreams and innocence on a race to test the limits of their confinement, and ultimately, their love.
KDT Company Member Emeritus Tim Johnson returns to direct Naomi Wallace's beautifully haunting play that The New York Times called "a blend of Ingmar Bergman and Horton Foote, with Thornton Wilder on the side". The cast and production staff features KDT Artistic Company Member Shelley Tharp Payton, Raphael Parry and Nicholas Randolph Venceil, and current SMU students Lucinda Rogers and Colter O'Ryan Smith.
The production contains adult language and situations. Purchase tickets online or by calling 214-953-1055.
