Spaniel from Argyle wins “best of breed” at Westminster Dog Show Monday
Ch. Pinecrest Orchard Hill Rock the Boat, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel from Argyle, Texas, in Denton County, won "Best of Breed" on Tuesday at the first night of the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Also known as "Rocky", he's owned by Ted and Mary Grace Eubank of Argyle; Ted trains the dog. He won best of breed at the 2007 show, too. It seems like a tough life for a dog, if you go by Mrs Eubank's description in which she says her husband and the dog are traveling every weekend. That is, unless the dog gets his own seat on the airplane. Still, it can't be easy on a pet to be flying all the time. And for what? A moment on TV, maybe a monetary prize.
