20 year-old Darac Jason Favre, a student at UNT, has filed to run in Denton's mayoral race. Favre feels he offers a different viewpoint because of his young age.

His name being Favre probably gives him more of an edge than being young. I'm sure he's not the first UNT student who's ever tried to dig into college votes.
Either way, I doubt the people of Denton are fired up about a mayor who's not even old enough to drink alcohol handling their cities future. We shall see.
