Dallas Baptist men’s basketball’s Adamson named player of the wek

Freshman Braxton Adamson from Rockwall, Texas, has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week and NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for his play during the week of February 4-10.

During the week, Adamson led the Patriots to a 3-0 record this past week. For the week, he averaged 20 points per game, including connecting on 13 or 25 three-point attempts. This past week DBU defeated Newman, 94-91, St. Mary's, 78-75, and UTPB, 82-64. In the first game of the week Adamson led all Patriots scores with 24 points and dished out five assists, game two he knocked down 12 points and had eight assists on the road, and the final game of the week he led all scores with 23 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

For the season, Adamson is averaging 12.9 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game. He also leading the team in three-point shots made, with 65.

Head Coach Blake Flickner said, "Braxton has been a huge part of our success this season. I look forward to seeing him continue to grow the rest of the season and the next three years."
