Lynn Flint Shaw, former chair of DART board, turns herself in to authorities
Lynn Flint Shaw surrendered to the police on Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shaw, the former DART board chairwoman as well as treasurer of Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert's "Friends of Tom Leppert" fund-raising committee, is accused of forging a letter from District Attorney Craig Watkins in order to avoid repaying $7,500 to Tifany Cheatham, wife of Dallas DJ Skip Cheatham.
At the end of January, Shaw resigned as chair of the DART board after the forgery issue began to surface. Previously, questions had been raised about her possibly unethical contract with Deloitte & Touche, the accounting firm that functions as the independent auditor for DART.
Schutze has a good item on a previous organization with which Shaw was involved in which a letter to a creditor had been faked.

Damn the bad luck! I was hoping for a barricade/hostage situation, shots fired scenario. Inauspicious start for the Leppert Dynasty (Is a single term as Mayor considered a dynasty?).
