Media-fed Stephenville UFO buzz continues
This new feature piece about the Stephenville UFO sightings notes that the incident (and events surrounding it) has such fascination that both the History Channel and news teams from Japan are scheduled to descend on the rural Texas communities involved. The conclusion espoused by those interviewed in this piece is that the government is testing out new aircraft technologies, and that this is what the witnesses in Stephenville got a glimpse of.
Which begs the question: why would the government test top secret technology over the relatively heavily populated skies of North Texas, rather than out at their Area 54 facility, for instance?
As reporter on the scene Richard Ray so aptly puts it: "This story's not going away - it's really got legs."

How about the Austrailian owned news paper (Stephenville Empire Tribune) that told the reporter (Angelia Joiner) to stop covering the story; who was subsequently fired? Theres actually an initiative to help spread awareness here; http://www.exopoliticsinstitute.org/E...
Seems there's more to this than our media taking advantage of sensation. I live out here and have seen enough first hand to know something unussual is in our sky. This news will continue to 'buzz' for me until I find more answers... seems some people want this story burried. Of course I don't know the answers, but I know it's not right to treat people the way the Stephenville paper treated Angela. It's also not right to harass people like Ricky Sorels who is just like any other Texas rancher trying to understand what's going on.

It's area 51, but you do have a point. They are not likely to test new technology over populated areas, if for no other reason than to prevent casualties in the event of a malfunction.

Actually Area 51 has been pretty much shut down since the toxic waste spill about 10 years ago... most of the research done there has been moved to smaller facilities in Arizona and Colorado. The only stuff still going on has been the stuff that requires the really long runway there, which was recently extended and repaved.
It's good to be me sometimes...

On 2-15-2008, two of my assistants and I went on a seek and destroy mission to clear the east Texas skies of UFOs. Leaving at 0645 and returning at 1530, we cleared all airspace between Dallas and Tyler.
Despite appropriate portable surface to air defence systems, not a single damned UFO was spotted. Visibility was admittedly poor, but zero UFOs were noted on our advanced UFO tracking devices.
However, at Stanley's World Famous Bar-B-Q Pit, we did enjoy some delicious sandwiches called the "Brother in Law." (Brothers?)
This trip was not sponsored by Raytheon Missile Systems....but it could have been...if it was... www.seizurerobots.com
