The new name is far more indicative of the activities taking place at the popular local facility.
PEGASUS NEWS WORLD HEADQUARTERS PanLocal, LLC, “the world’s most awesome media company™,” announced today that it has signed a multi-day agreement with Seth Allen Smith dba Lee Harveys Bar to become the primary name in title sponsor for Lee Harvey’s Bar, the Cedars’ premiere imbibement facility. Effective today, the facility, formerly known as Lee Harvey’s, will be known as The PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™.
“This is a great and strategic opportunity for us both locally, hyperlocally and even microlocally,” said Mike Orren, president and founder of Pegasus News. “We are thrilled to be starting this relationship during this popular venue’s ongoing embattlement with a lone neighbor who dislikes both us and the venue. This also puts us in a league with leading-edge marketing minds like those at Idearc and Ameriquest.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new website for the bar. We didn't have time for the complete redesign, but that will be coming soon.
“We briefly considered naming the facility ‘The PanLocal LLC, dba PegasusNews.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications Bar and Grill', but felt the other name had a slightly better ring to it,” Orren added. “Besides, when we created our logo we missed out on that whole Web 2.0, Flickr-esque dropping of needed vowels, so using ‘Centr,’ will position us for crazy interwebs bubble growth.”
The PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ hosts a number of musical events as well as a weekly Sunday canine outing. It is the jewel in the crown of the Cedars Entertainment District.
In coming weeks, it will host gigs by such luminaries as MC 900 Foot Jesus, Shaun Ellis and DJ Cee Pee.
April Powell
PegasusNews.com president and founder Mike Orren closes the deal with PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ general manager Phillip Jester.
“Our new relationship with PegasusNews.com is an important venture for us, the City of Dallas and the entire universe,” said PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ owner Seth Smith. “I am exceedingly confident that it will usher in a new era of unparalleled conviviality for the entire Dallas and Fort Worth Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area.”
Phillip Jester, manager of the PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ said, “We look forward to a successful 2008 season at the PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ in the Cedars area of Dallas, Texas, USA, planet Earth. We enthusiastically support Panlocal, LLC in providing top-notch support to our efforts in positioning The Cedars as a world-class entertainment district, offering year-round activities and attractions for all ages, species and interests and providing community and family oriented programming.”

Another coup from the combo-clone genetic dynamo duo; Seth Smith and Mike Orren! This can make eating hamburgers the size of throw pillows with drinks stronger than a gorilla’s breath a virtual re-enactment of that famous scene in ‘Night of the Living Dead’ when the entire populace (in this case the entire Metroplex) become uni-step zombies with outstretched arms begging for The http://PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr.
For immediate Release: Back Story: In an unprecedented homage to the former Smirnoff Centr (Now Yellow http://Pages.com Center) and the neighborhood combative word smith whose favor the new owners seek, who had fought to close down the former Lee Harvey’s, there will be poetry readings called Ethereal Scoliosis on Sundays in the courtyard (to be remodeled) where the Dog Days with live music had previously been celebrated.
New menu items such as Tofu Burritinos (petite finger South-Mex mini-wraps) will grace the new edgy con-fections, described by the co-owners as “Con-Fusion” fare. All of this is guaranteed to make the Cedars the new Mecca of underground chic, and ‘laid to rest seduction.’ Or, as the local gent who has harassed this establishment might say, “Grilling a toad doth not a rib-eye make.” Or something like that. (His people said he was ‘unavailable for comment' until the formal ribbon cutting hosted by the newly crowned Miss TABC, Christal Jones.

I don't know. I think "The PanLocal LLC, dba http://PegasusNews.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications Bar and Grill" rolls off the tongue nicely. But, that's just me. :)

What a great idea! Plus it provides plausable deniability. I remember spending the odd day binge drinking at the old Greenville Ave. Country Club. I told the people at the office I was going to the country club, and they just assumed I was going to hammer out a bucket of balls or play a few rounds. Eventually, I even bought a set of clubs that rusted into a single piece in the trunk of the car. I now display them as art over the fireplace in the grand hall of my palatial estate in Mesquite. Now let's see, what cunning canard can I use to justify my day drinking at the "center"?

I think I'll stick to calling it Lee Harvey's. It's much easier to say.

Multi-day agreement? How many days, and are they sequential or spread out?
This is vital to my well-being, Miko.
Next question is: are you going to hand out UnContest bar-tab credits?

Clearly you know nothing about marketing.
Do you still call http://Superpages.com Centre the Starplex? Did you call the Ballpark in Arlington the Ballpark in Arlington when it was not?
What do you call the American Airlines Center? The AAC? Fine. Then it is acceptable to call this place the PNDCCC.
But that's as far as we'll go. Don't you realize that this is not about something as trivial as patron convenience -- we're talking Marketing, baby!
Live with it or you will find yourself unwelcome at the venue which we neither own, manage nor control but that bears our name.

I think the name "Lee Harveys" was 1/2 of what made the place. Pretty sad it is now named after a ezine! Also, who has enough time to worry or film someone else's dog walk? What about all the stray's that run around down there. Are you cleaning up after them? There are much bigger issues here that this guy.

Can I copyright "Miko" before all of this gets out of hand? If so, dibs.

Hey, if Mr. Cowger never bothered with the paperwork that's his problem.
But good to know. He didn't happen to call dibs, did he?
I don't think MikeOooo is very conducive to you taking me seriously, anyways. Miko seems more appropriate in written form (but I'll be sure to draw it out if/when I see you again).

Well Miko, after a quick googlin', I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news is that, in current-day Japan, Wikipedia tells me you're of the "virgin consecrated to a deity" variety. You could also be mistaken with a restaurant.
Bad news is that Classic Toy Company, Inc apparently beat me to the punch. Guess I could still try for it - theirs appears to have a period at the end of it, so there might be litigation.
It should be noted that I have no idea what the hell is going on here, but it points to the Wiki article linked above and advises to "Treat your miko right; no porn, please." Please don't be freaked out if I address you with one of those lovely images at a later date.
FYI, boss-man walked up behind me as I was copying and pasting from that last site. Suffice it to say I'm probably going to be focusing harder on my work the rest of the day.

Mike Orren: Go have a beer at Lee Harvey's and chill a bit. You seem to be overly testosterone driven with a aggressive attitude.
Clearly you know nothing about brand recognition. ;) And yes I call it Starplex and the Ballpark, because those were the names before they became sellouts to some corporate identity try to plaster their name everywhere.
I guess I'll have to live with it now and still continue to visit the venu on a weekly basis, since the name has changed back.
Best of luck on your next marketing stunt.

Hokey smokes! Finally made the trek to LH last Friday after attending no AC art event at South Lamar. This was a great fab experience, tasty live music, great cold beer, awesome people, real delicious food (burgers and onion rings, can't go wrong, natch) and valet parking? I be back again with My Fair Lady, woo-hoo!
