UT Arlington to close down Yates Street

Email Print Tell us your story Comment

At a cost of $7.5 million, the University of Texas System will close Arlington's Yates Street to vehicular traffic and convert it into a green-ish (or perhaps "less concrete") pedestrian mall.

On UT Arlington property, the .11 mile long "thoroughfare" will be reworked beginning in July or August of this year. The street runs on the east side of Nedderman Hall.
