The UTD men's basketball team went over nine minutes without scoring Thursday night and saw an 8-point advantage turn into a 14-point deficit as East Texas Baptist was able to hang on for a 67-57 ASC East Division win. The Comets (15-7, 11-6) got 16 points from Ernie Lowery, but he was the only player to finish in double figures as UTD shot a dismal 27.0 percent from the field in the second half and was just 7-of-28 from beyond the 3-point arch. The loss drops UTD back into a tie with UT-Tyler for second place in the East Division standings with just three regular season games remaining. The Comets have clinched a fifth straight ASC post-season berth, but will still be jockeying for a higher seed when they host LeTourneau Saturday afternoon at 3 pm.

GWAR / Kingdom of Sorrow / Toxic Holocaust Only lead singer Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie) has stuck around since GWAR's start 23 years ago, but the huge costumes, raunchy and obscene lyrics, and fluids spraying into the audience are sure to be on full display as the metal band makes its return to Dallas.
