Associated Press says it's been confirmed by "various media outlets ... all citing anonymous sources" while Canada.com says the deal was confirmed by "an Eastern conference executive". The deal being that Jason Kidd will definitely-positively join the Dallas Mavericks, as follows: Kidd and forward Malik Allen in exchange for guard Devin Harris, swingmen Maurice Ager and Trenton Hassell, center DeSagana Diop, Keith Van Horn, two first-round draft picks, and cash.

The AP quotes the DMN as saying that the deal will be submitted for NBA approval on Monday.

UPDATE: Okay, we can all breathe easy now: This never-ending trade is finally official, with a couple of changes. In addition to the above, the Mavericks will now get swingman Antoine Wright and the Nets will officially get the Mavericks first-round picks this year and in 2010 and $3 million in cash -- better get a big briefcase for that.
