PegasusNews.com president and founder Mike Orren closes the deal with PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™ general manager Phillip Jester.
DALLAS The Seth Smith dba Lee Harvey's Bar announced that effective today, it will be renamed Lee Harvey's. The renaming of the bar, which since Friday morning has been known as The PegasusNews.com Conviviality Centr™, follows an agreement with Pegasus News to return the naming rights to the bar.
"I am thrilled that patrons entering our facility will know that they are entering the same old place they knew, without the murky stench of a sellout naming deal," said Lee Harvey's owner Seth Smith. "I'm just relieved we don't have to change the sign."
Lee Harvey's proposed to Pegasus News to end the naming agreement and related corporate affiliation. Lee Harvey's General Manager Phillip Jester said the bar wanted to reclaim the naming rights as part of an overall un-branding campaign.
"Besides," Jester said, "they were starting to default on their daily $1 payments, and we couldn't find a collections agency to handle it."
Smith said the bar will immediately begin remarketing the prime promotions and advertising opportunities made available by Pegasus News' agreement to return the name.
"Our relationship with Lee Harvey's has been extremely positive over the last few days," said Mike Orren, president and founder of Pegasus News. "Lee Harvey's is a first-class facility, and we are pleased the bar will once again bear the name of a notorious assassin."
Lee Harvey's was a friend of mine.

Damn. Will they keep the 'new' Orren/Smith all-too-brief naming-rights menu items? The 'Content Partner' brrrrito (served frozen), the tasteless but habit-forming combox tofu taffy, the URL fries said to "make you upload on site". (This was a huge Valentine Day hit!) Will they leave the yard sign above the kitchen chalkboard: 'The lard giveth and the lard taketh away'?

Glad to see that the original jester is back at the helm.
May I suggest that your next acquisition be Nove? You could rename it Il Duce.

I was particularly fond of the Pegasus Wings.
Like the Nove suggestion. Got any others? We're in the market...

Well kids it was a good run. I must say my staff at Lee Harvey's is having a rather hard time reverting to answering the phone with just LH. The short but lucrative time with PanLocal LLC, dba PegasusNews.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications trying to do business as PNDCC has left a very lasting depression on staff, customers, cats, dogs and even bacon. I think the thing I'm going to miss most is those after work happy hours. When you are dealing with a company as large as PanLocal LLC, dba PegasusNews.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications it can really make a difference to your bottom line when even just a small fraction of the staff starts hanging out somewhere. I gotta tell you, there are some really wacky individuals over there at Pegasus and they sure can drink. Also I have a feeling we will be teaming up in the near future on some underwriting of up coming events.
Just for pegasusnews.com readers: Seth and I have been in negotiations with Mick, Seal, Cher, Barry M. and Tom J. for a summer concert series. OH YEAH!
In regards to the new menu items. We plan on keeping the pegasus wings but they are really hard to keep in stock. We've hired a pilot just to fly to central america when we track one down. We are loosing the "Pan-Local LLC, dba PegasusNews.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications fried catfish" but we are keeping the "Morren 1lb raw-hide burger sandwiched between two glazed donuts topped with bacon and onions". If anyone out there gets a bit of nostalgia for PNDCCC I would always be happy to direct my staff to call it that in your presence. See ya'll at Lee Harveys!
