The officers of Eastfield College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society learned about the "invisible children" of Uganda and were moved to make a difference in the lives of these children who are regularly kidnapped by militant rebels, brainwashed, and forced to serve as murderous soldiers. Our students are organizing the "Schools for Schools Walk for the Children of Uganda" to take place on February 23 from 9-11 a.m. on the Eastfield College Track. The registration fee is $10. If you have further questions, you may contact Chapter President, Richard Brand, richarddbrand@earthlink.net, or Vice President Brittany Dunegan, brittanydunegan@yahoo.com.
Psi Eta Chapter has invited other chapters of Phi Theta Kappa from across Texas to participate in the event. The goal is to raise $10,000, enough to build a school for these forgotten children. We invite you to participate in the walk or, if you would like to make a donation, please make checks to "Invisible Children" and drop them off at the Eastfield Learning Assistance Center (C236) or mail them c/o Theresa Sternat, Eastfield College, 3737 Motley Dr., Mesquite, TX 75150

GWAR / Kingdom of Sorrow / Toxic Holocaust Only lead singer Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie) has stuck around since GWAR's start 23 years ago, but the huge costumes, raunchy and obscene lyrics, and fluids spraying into the audience are sure to be on full display as the metal band makes its return to Dallas.
