Plano homeowners want registered sex offender to move, but not on their damn dime
PLANO Home owners in the Carriage Hills neighborhood of Plano want registered sex offender Kenneth McQuade to move out of their division but they don't want to pay for it.
Originally planning to give $8,000 to whoever would buy his house, the Homeowners' Association voted it down on Monday night. Why shouldn't law officers intervene? they wondered. And even if they HAD voted for the expenditure, who's to say that McQuade wouldn't just move down the street? Why should they have to spend the money on that, when they could buy nice shrubbery or maybe get their street address numbers painted on their curbstones in cool gothic type?

Yes you do. That's why you're trying to get them to move out.

You can have too much of a good thing, and I'm afraid we're approaching critical mass with this sex offender registry stuff.

Has anyone reported on what this guy's offence was? Is he a serial armed rapist, or did he get caught with his 15-year-old girlfriend on his 18th birthday? One of those might be a little more dangerous than the other.

The news article says he was convicted of molesting 3 preteen boys in 1986. Terrible, to be sure, but still more than 20 years ago. And it doesn't say how old he was when he did the molesting.

54, almost 55 years old now, meaning he was 33 when he was convicted. Yeah, no excuse for that.
