Sunnyvale to get new hospital

Email Print Tell us your story Comment (1)

— A new hospital, the Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale, will be built in Sunnyvale, a town about 15 miles east of downtown Dallas, population 4,000.

Construction starts in late February; the property is located just south of Interstate 80 at 231 South Collins Road. It'll have 70 beds, six operating rooms, an emergency department with six treatment rooms, eight ICU beds, and a women's center with labor-and-delivery and postpartum rooms.

The highway from Dallas to Terrell, while built to Interstate standards, is NOT Interstate 80.
Interstate 80 extends from San Francisco to New Jersey.

It's US 80.

In other news, Interstate 75 goes from Florida to Michigan, not from Dallas to Sherman. That would be US 75.

Todd Rundgren My college roommate and her boyfriend looooved Todd Rundgren. They used to say "Todd is God." A lot. Anyway, he's touring to promote his new album, a rocker called Arena. More info
