Some other ideas for the new name were shelved early on in the decision process
DALLAS Quovadx, the Dallas-based provider of healthcare specific software and solutions, announced today that it has changed its name to Healthvision.
“We felt it was important that our company’s name more accurately convey the scope of products, services, and expertise we bring to the marketplace,” said Russell Fleischer, chief executive officer of Healthvision. “Our company has a rich history of creating industrial strength solutions that allow data sharing throughout the healthcare ecosystem. Moving forward, Healthvision will continue developing and enhancing robust solutions that help our customers and partners solve unique healthcare IT challenges.”
As part of the company’s re-branding effort, Healthvision has launched a new website and developed a new corporate identity that is being implemented throughout the company.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight. With all that he's up to, the least you could do is order a Scotch on the rocks and chill to some tunes. (Photo by flickr user arteunporro. More info
