Meadowbrook Elementary student offered ride by stranger after school
School officials sent Meadowbrook Elementary parents a letter Tuesday explaining a potentially dangerous incident that occurred the day before.
A man speaking Spanish and driving a white truck approached a Meadowbrook student on Monday afternoon and asked if he needed a ride home. The student ran to his school bus immediately and told his mother when he returned home. Parents are being asked to remind their children of safety tips and stranger danger. It helps if you tell them while in a dark room with a flashlight under your chin.
